How to make Big sword

[Materials]
Making pattern paper materials
-Drawing paper 20piece
-Scotch tape(Sellotape) 5piece
-Packaging tape(parcel tape) 1piece

Main materials
・"Lion Board(Koyo Soft Board)"
->5mm thick 100cm X 200cm
->10mm thick 100cm X 10cm
-Instant glue 10piece (It's convenient if there is also Instant gule Accelerator Spray)
-Hot melt(glue gun) 20piece
-PVC pipe(diameter 26.0mm) 1piece
-Wood stick 1piece

Painting materials
-"Bond G17"(one of liqud glue in Japan) 1000ml
-lacquer thinner 1000ml
-Paintbrush(Disposable premise ) 1piece
-Paper cup,bowl etc.(Disposable premise ) 1piece
-Bottle lacquer paint proper quantity
-Lacquer Spray proper quantity

10000Yen (about 80Yen = 1dollar)

[How to make]
Make ground plan by "Kousakuyousi"(one of hard paper in Japan).



Ground plan was completed.


Enflesh to ground plan by Drawing paper, and make Pattern paper.



Cut and paste and brings close ideal form.

Cut open.
Copy to new Drawing paper and make a fair copy.


Cut open.
Copy to new Drawing paper and make a fair copy.


Assemble fair copy again.


When you make ideal form, it's cut open.Let it be formal Pattern paper.
When you want to know how to make fundamental Pattern paper,watch this page.


Cut out materials based on a Pattern paper.
Cut out 5mm thick "Lion Board(Koyo Soft Board)".

"Lion Board(Koyo Soft Board)" is sold only in Japan.
(It's Japanese EVA board.Details are here.)
There are similar things in except Japan.
"Wonderflex", "Evazote", "EVA form", "EVAboard", "Craft form" are similer things used by world cosplayer.
Search details by Google.

A Box cutter is used for cutting.(Big blade is easier to use.)
If Work is made to progress,It's good to use "Pro Blade","Running fire box cutter","Blade breaker",Big cutting mat.
Craft Knife is easy to cut small parts that is hard to cut by Box cutter.


Paste together with Instant glue.
If you use Instant gule Accelerator too,
pasting time will be 2 or 3 seconds.
Watch movie using it.

Paste together with Instant glue.

Insert a wood stick. Paste with Hot melt(glue gun).


Pasting was completed.


Make a tip parts
Cut out materials based on a Pattern paper.
Cut out 5mm thick "Lion Board(Koyo Soft Board)".


Paste together with Instant glue.


Pasting was completed.
The tip parts can put on and take off.


Mark by penn.


Shave with Box cutter.


Make a grip.
Cut PVC pipe(diameter 26.0mm) to length with a sufficient degree.
PVC pipe can be cut by saw.But Pipe cutter is more bettr.Pipe cutter can cat quickly and beautifull.



Cut one side slant.


Paste with Hot melt(glue gun).


Paste together parts cut out from 10mm thick "Lion Board(Koyo Soft Board)" with a Hot melt(glue gun).


Paste together parts cut out from 10mm thick "Lion Board(Koyo Soft Board)" with a Hot melt(glue gun).


Cut out 10mm thick "Lion Board(Koyo Soft Board)".


Paste with Hot melt(glue gun).


Make prickles.
Cut out 5mm thick "Lion Board(Koyo Soft Board)".
Paste together with Instant glue.


Paste with Hot melt(glue gun).
Write pattern with Hot melt(glue gun).


Make surface like crabs.
Make Broke piece of "Lion Board(Koyo Soft Board)" scrap.


Cutting was completed.


Mix scraps and "Bond G17"(one of liqud glue in Japan).


Paint mixed thing twice.
Desiccate for 4 or 5 hours.(It may become dry for 1 or 2 hours, but Desiccating for 4 or 5 hours is better.)


Paint red part roughly with Lacquer Spray


Paint red part roughly with Lacquer Spray.


Paint white part roughly with Lacquer Spray


Paint boader of color with Airbrush politely.



Painting was completed.
